Congratulations to my daughter Erin, who today, March 29th, 2009, ran and completed her first full marathon, the ING Georgia Marathon here in Atlanta. People who know Atlanta know that running 26.2 miles here is not the same as running 26.2 miles in, say Sarasota or Phoenix.
Atlanta has honest to God hills. Lots of them. I don't mean to diminish the accomplishments of anybody who can actually run 26.2 miles anywhere, but anybody who can 26.2 miles of hills can pretty much do anything they want to do.
Big ups to Erin. Pops is proud.
