What it means (really) when the weather person says there is a 50% chance of rain or snow or falling tea cups or whatever there is a 50% chance of
They mean that precipitation occurred on 50 out of the last 100 days when the same type of weather conditions existed in your area.
Aren't you glad you tuned in today? Now you know something that hardly anybody really knows, but think they do.
